Charlotte Willoughby-Paul

Charlotte uses recycled materials and different textures to create a sensory print  called a collagraph. She has painted and created art since a pre-schooler, but discovered the collagraph process at university where she studied printmaking as part of her fine art degree in York.

Before then Charlotte had been a multi media/collage painter and sculptor. Using printmaking to create art with exciting textures, the artist uses sculptural materials like pva glue, string, netting, wallpaper and tile grout to produce original prints which are run through an etching  press to print exciting marks and surfaces that show elements like light, earth, sea and stained glass.

Charlotte’s printmaking focuses on the wonders of the countryside and the beauty of light and colour. She is also an illustrator and her printmaking is like a story with texture and atmosphere of a scene.
